The Name

Abeó — safe passage, bringer of happiness.

Abeó — pronounced ah-beh-OH. The name is the promise. Every surface should feel like safe passage.

Etymology

  • Latin: "Safe Passage"
  • Yoruba: "Bringer of Happiness"

The accent is structural

The accent on the ó is structural, not decorative. Always retain it in copy: Abeó, never Abeo.

Mission & Philosophy

Make health feel safe, dignified, and supported — everywhere.

"To make health feel safe, dignified, and supported — everywhere."

We are the bridge between the hospital and the home. Core belief: Health is not fragmented. Care should not be either.

◆ Philosophy — High Tech, High Touch

Technology enables efficiency. People deliver trust. Modern systems and operational excellence, paired with the human presence care demands. Never one without the other.

Positioning

A Community Care Coordination Network.

Not a single-service provider. Not a rideshare company. Not a staffing agency. Not a tech platform without human oversight.

We are We are not
Care-first Convenience-first
Human-led with systemized coordination A faceless app
Built for trust Built for volume
Designed to scale without losing warmth Designed to scale by removing humans
◆ Brand archetype

The Care Coordinator · The Integrator · The Trusted Guide

Voice

The Capable Guide.

We are not a cold app. We are a caring person who happens to have the systems to follow through.

We are… We are not…
Reassuring ("We've got this.") Alarmist ("Medical emergency!")
Clear (Simple terms) Jargon-heavy (Complex medical speak)
Warm ("Hello, Sarah.") Robotic ("User #4092 logged in.")
Calm, assured, professional Casual, gimmicky, small-business
◆ The rule

No gimmicks. No casual language. No small-business feel.

Compliance Stance

Forbidden language. Non-negotiable.

This is non-negotiable regulatory positioning. Two layers: language and legal model.

Never

  • ❌ "We treat patients."
  • ❌ "Our nurses." / "Our drivers." (implies employment)
  • ❌ "We provide care."
  • ❌ "Independent contractor model" — triggers California AB5 scrutiny.

Always

  • ✅ "We connect families with caregivers in our licensed Registry."
  • ✅ "Abeó coordinates your journey."
  • ✅ "Our network." / "Our referral partners."
Compliance Stance

A California-licensed Home Care Organization.

Abeó Care operates as a California-licensed Home Care Organization (HCO) under the Home Care Services Consumer Protection Act (Health & Safety Code §1796 et seq.), CDSS license category HCS 281. All caregivers are W-2 employees, registered on the California Home Care Aide Registry (HCAR), DOJ/FBI background-cleared, TB-cleared, and insured under our general liability + workers comp.

DRA (Abeó) HCO (most competitors)
Caregiver classification Refers caregivers; caregiver-client relationship is direct Employs caregivers as W-2
Pay structure Caregiver and client agree on rate; DRA takes a referral fee Agency sets pay, charges client a higher rate
AB5 exposure Compliant — caregiver is not the agency's worker None (W-2 model)
Cost to family $36–$48/hr (HCO parity) $36–$48/hr (HCO parity)
Caregiver take-home Higher Lower (agency margin)
◆ Why this matters

California AB5 (effective Jan 1, 2020) prohibits classifying home care aides as 1099 independent contractors. The phrase "independent contractor model" exposes Abeó to penalties of $5,000–$25,000 per violation. The DRA model under §1812.5095 is the established legal alternative and the structure we operate under.

Drivers operate via Uber Health (third-party transportation provider — not Abeó employees). Senior placement is performed by Abeó's licensed referral team. Care Coordination (Circle) is staffed by Abeó employees.

Action items before any compliance-facing copy ships: confirm DRA registration with California-licensed home care counsel. The line in this guide is the public-facing posture; the legal entity must match.

Visual Identity

Teal for safety. Orange for warmth.

Color Hex Use Represents
Abeó Teal #42C2BE Primary buttons, headers, logo wordmark, links Calm, Medical Safety, Clarity
Abeó Orange #FF8A34 CTAs, notifications, the leaf accent, the ó accent Warmth, Energy, Happiness
Charcoal #374151 Body text Softer than black, more readable than gray
White #FFFFFF Backgrounds (preferred) Space, clarity
Light Gray #F9FAFB Card backgrounds, surfaces Subtle depth
◆ Orange usage rule

Use sparingly. Most often appears only on the ó in the wordmark, on primary CTAs, and on the leaf logo accent. Never use orange as a body-text color or large fill.

Visual Identity

Nunito throughout. Rounded, friendly, legible.

Primary font: Nunito (Google Fonts). Rounded Sans Serif — mirrors the logo's curves. Highly legible but friendly. Avoids the "sterile" look of traditional hospital systems.

Use Weight
Headings (H1–H3) Nunito ExtraBold (800)
Subheadings Nunito SemiBold (600)
Body Nunito Medium (500)
Captions / fine print Nunito Regular (400)

Logo

  • Wordmark with subtle orange leaf accent over the 'o' — growth, life, a new day
  • The leaf maintains a 30-degree tilt at all sizes
  • Always retain the accent on the ó
  • White or light backgrounds preferred
  • Orange accent ONLY on the ó and the leaf — never elsewhere unless directed

Naming Conventions

10 divisions across 3 pillars + abeoOS.

Per Brittany's full vision PDF (April 2026): 10 divisions across 3 pillars + abeoOS — the AI operating system that connects them all. Always capitalized as proper nouns. Always with the Abeó prefix.

Pillar 1 — Human Care

Division Phase What it is
Abeó Care Phase 1 (Now) Non-medical home care — W-2 caregivers (CNAs, HHAs), CDSS-licensed HCO. Personal care, mobility, meals, companionship, medication reminders, light housekeeping.
Abeó Transport Phase 2 Non-emergency medical transportation — hybrid: Uber Health for ambulatory + owned wheelchair-accessible fleet. CPUC permit + Medi-Cal NEMT.
Abeó Clinical Phase 3 Home health under separate CDPH HHA license — RN/LVN nursing concierge, PT/OT/Speech rehabilitation. Medicare-certified.
Abeó Mental Wellness Phase 3 Counseling, peer support, caregiver burnout prevention, crisis navigation.

Pillar 2 — Living Systems

Division Phase What it is
Abeó Companions Phase 2 Pet care for clients who can't fully care for their animals — dog walking, feeding, vet transport, therapeutic animal interaction.
Abeó Earth Phase 4 Environmental sustainability — community environmental health assessments, green care practices, ESG metrics for B2B partners.
Abeó Harvest Phase 4 Community agriculture and food-as-medicine — wellness gardens, medically tailored meal delivery, food security programs.

Pillar 3 — People & Mission

Division Phase What it is
Abeó Connect Phase 1 (Now) Care coordination + family dashboard — the foundational unit of the network. Senior placement guidance is delivered through Connect. Care Circle Coordination™.
Abeó Workforce Phase 4 Staffing and placement platform — recruiting, training, credentialing across all divisions. Eventually a B2B SaaS product.
Abeó Academy Phase 3 Training, credentialing, career pathways — community economic development through HCA, NEMT, wellness, and food-as-medicine certification.
Abeó Foundation Phase 4 501(c)(3) nonprofit arm — mission protection, community equity, impact investment, ESG reporting.
The OS Layer

abeoOS — the infrastructure layer.

abeoOS is the AI operating system that connects every division. 8 modules:

"abeoOS is to care coordination what the internet was to communication — the infrastructure layer that makes everything else possible at any scale."

◆ Built on mythOS

abeoOS is built on the mythOS narrative coherence engine across the StarHub Studios portfolio. mythOS is the substrate; abeoOS is the healthcare-vertical instance.

Note on the original four-service framing — superseded by Brittany's authoritative vision

Approved Taglines

One tagline per surface. Don't combine.

Approved taglines

  • "Because Health Is Everything." (primary, customer-facing)
  • "Care, Coordinated." (short-form, B2B)
  • "Human-Centered Care Infrastructure." (investor / partnership)
  • "The bridge between the hospital and the home." (mission-style)

Visual reference — the "Optum Feel"

  • Clean professional layout
  • Health-forward tone
  • Generous use of white space
  • Modern medical feel; corporate clarity without coldness
◆ More human than Optum

We want Optum's structural inspiration — but more innovative, trusted, and community-driven. Where Optum feels institutional, Abeó feels human.

Target Audience

Who we serve. Where we go.

Primary audience

  • Adult children managing care for aging parents
  • Seniors and disabled individuals seeking dignity
  • Healthcare facilities and outpatient centers needing reliable staffing/transport
  • Community organizations
  • Government and public health partners

Secondary audience

  • Hospital discharge planners
  • Insurance care managers
  • Independent caregivers seeking placement

Geographic vision

Phase Reach
Phase 1 Orange County, CA (local)
Phase 2 Regional Southern California
Phase 3 National (US)
Long-term Global care coordination — including Africa and underserved regions

Designed to scale internationally without losing cultural sensitivity or human presence.

The North Star

The care coordination layer healthcare systems are missing.

In the future, Abeó functions as a trusted coordination network, a gateway to care services, and a community-based health infrastructure. Care should not feel fragmented, confusing, or transactional. It should feel guided, dignified, and reliable.

◆ Powered by mythOS

Abeó is powered by mythOS — the narrative coherence engine that also runs TXP and SquareBiz across the StarHub Studios portfolio. The infrastructure is battle-tested; updates lift Abeó automatically; tech-build cost is amortized. The "Powered by mythOS" line appears discreetly in the website footer and on investor materials — never as a primary visual. Abeó leads with care; mythOS is the engine underneath. Wordmark: Powered by mythOS.
